I am also using the latest version of Kix. The problem I am having is that even though I set the screensaver in both keys mentioned throughout the site the screen saver when browsed through display properties say there is “none” specified. Default isn’t the default user – it’s settings for when no user is logged on. You are not logged in. From my reading, adding these 3 registry entries should do the trick:

Thanks for everyone’s help. I check the keys, I restart the system, but still no dice. This might solve your problem. Here is a great article on .defalut to do it with Preferences. It’s a system account. Am I doing something wrong here, or can someone advise on a better way? I do it like this, using Kix, because I’m lazy like that: Sign in to vote. I am also using the latest version of Kix.

I’m having a problem setting Wallpaper and Background Color through an unattended setup. I find it difficult to understand why Companies or Admins at Companies find the need to force a specific screen saver or wallpaper on a user.
It is certainly coming along, but I am having some issues wit hthe screensaver.
